Born in Laoag, the Philippines, he was a retired Hawaii Island head of assessing and appraisal for the state Department of Taxation, Hawaii Army National Guard retiree who served in the U.S. Army’s 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment during World War II and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Young Men’s Institute and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1572.
